This month's Champions Club had our biggest turnout yet, and the energy in the room felt different from the moment people walked in.
We kicked off the evening with our member spotlight, featuring one of our members who's been with us almost a year. James is the CEO and co-founder of JBK, a bootstrapped insurance tech consultancy he has been building for over 25 years, and co-founder of Terra, a cloud-native AI platform that is reshaping how insurance carriers handle claims. He has delivered over 400 keynotes, written a bestselling book, and done it all without taking a single dollar of venture capital.

His presentation was candid and direct. One line in particular stuck with the group: "Cash is a strategy. Control is a strategy. Everything else is a tactic." He walked through how he thinks about building businesses on his own terms, why bootstrapping is a mindset as much as a financial model, and the practical systems he uses to stay sharp, including a weekly cash dashboard that keeps him in control rather than reacting. It was the kind of real-world perspective you only get from someone who has actually done it.
Then the group opened up. Two questions drove the rest of the night. What is your superpower? And who has influenced you most in your life?

What started as an ice breaker turned into something much more. People who had never crossed paths before discovered they shared the same strengths, the same instincts, the same gaps. When the conversation shifted to the most influential people in each person's life, it went even deeper. Parents, mentors, coaches, partners. Every answer was different, but the thread was the same. The people around you shape everything about where you end up. So could you start being that person for someone today?

Those conversations carried well past the structured portion of the evening, into drinks, into laughter, and into new connections that did not exist when the night started.
That is what keeps this group coming back. It is not just the agenda. It is the room. Every month, the right people show up and something worth keeping comes out of it.

About Pit Lane
In F1 races, no racer could make it to the end of the race without heading down pit lane. This is a crucial part of the race where the drivers take a fraction of the race to ensure they have the right tires, are full of fuel, and all the active aero on the car is working at 100%.
Inspired by this essential racing strategy, we have created “Pit Lane” for our members. These gatherings are designed to foster deeper connections as we listen to guest speakers, have insightful discussions and enjoy community building opportunities.
For those considering membership, there's never been a better time to join our dynamic and welcoming community. We invite you to become part of the Freedom Supercars family, where every day offers somethingnew and exciting. If you're a car enthusiast who loves the thrill of driving high-end cars, there's no better way to do it than with a supercar subscription. It's cost-effective, offers variety, no depreciation, and hassle-free ownership. Plus we have tons of events like this one, that bring our members together to form a tight community of like minded individuals.
