The Champions Club showed up in a big way this May. We had a great turnout, and the energy in the room matched the occasion. Between a powerful member spotlight, a guest speaker who had the room locked in, and a reveal nobody saw coming, this one is going to be hard to top.
Member Spotlight: Corey on the Art of the Pivot
We kicked things off with our member spotlight, featuring our own Corey. From a collegiate and NFL career to building and leading at a major energy company, Corey's story is proof that the skills that make you elite on a field translate directly to the boardroom.
He spoke candidly about what it really means to pivot, not just changing direction, but doing it without losing momentum. It was a grounding, honest conversation that had a lot of people in the room nodding along.
Guest Speaker: 2x MLS Champion Mike Chabala
The highlight of the evening was a session with Mike Chabala, a two-time MLS champion who spent nearly a decade competing at the highest level of professional soccer in America. Mike began his career with the Houston Dynamo, where he spent six years before moving on to the Portland Timbers, and along the way he won back-to-back MLS Cups with Houston, our home city's own team. Mike brought the kind of clarity you only get from someone who has competed at an elite level under real pressure. His talk centered on what it means to play your "best game," and more importantly, how to take the mental frameworks that win championships and apply them to your business and your life. What stood out was how personal he made it: he walked through what "re-centering" looks like when doubt creeps in, and what it means for each individual to define their own version of peak performance.
As a bonus, Mike gave the group a sneak peek at what he has in the works around the FIFA World Cup over the coming months. We can't say too much, but it's safe to say the room left excited for what's ahead. There are some amazing things happening in Houston!
The Reveal: Tier 5's Newest Addition
We saved the best for last. Attendees got an exclusive first look at our newest Tier 5 vehicle, unveiled for the first time to anyone outside of the Freedom Supercars team. This marks the 12th new vehicle added to the collection in the past 12 months, giving members an ever-growing lineup of world-class machines to get behind the wheel of.
